Lethbridge Boxing Club

Competitive Boxing

This class is for boxers who want to take it to the next level and step in the ring against competition.

Details:

  • Sessions are semi-coached and last around 60 – 120 minutes (depending on your goals and motivation level)
  • We typically have a group that comes in at 5pm and another at 7pm
  • Boxers will warm up with jump rope and then progress through shadow boxing, heavy bags, boxing dummies, hand pads, and possibly sparring

NOTE: You do not need to step in the ring if you attend this class date and beginners are welcome to attend.

Competitive Boxing

Non Competitive Boxing

This class is for beginners who want to learn boxing without sparring and stepping in the ring.

Details:

  • Sessions are semi-coached and last around 60 – 120 minutes (depending on your goals and motivation level)
  • We typically have a group that comes in at 5pm or 6pm (or later if they are also attending the Group Fitness class)
  • Boxers will warm up with jump rope and then progress through shadow boxing, heavy bags, boxing dummies, and hand pads

 

Little Sluggers

This class is for young kids who want to learn an exciting new sport and for parents that want a positive outlet for their child’s energy.

Details:

  • Sessions are fully-coached and last 60 minutes
  • Ages 4 to 7

Girl Power

This class is for female beginners who want to learn the sport of boxing, build confidence, and learn how to defend themselves.

Details:

  • Sessions are fully-coached and last 60 minutes
  • All ages are welcome: mother-daughters, teens, friend groups, business professionals, and retirees
  • Taught by 2019 Canadian Nationals Bronze Medalist, Tessa Feldbusch

 

Group Fitness

This class is for beginners who want to get fit and learn the basics of boxing at the same time.

Details:

  • Sessions are fully-coached and last around 75 – 90 minutes, starting with a fitness routine and ending with boxing drills
  • Skill level is tailored towards beginner – intermediate

Group Fitness

This class is for beginners who want to get fit and learn the basics of boxing at the same time.

Power Training

This fitness class is for competitive boxers looking to get an edge and develop the Power & Strength to compete in the ring.

Details:

  • Sessions are fully-coached and last around 60 minutes, featuring kettlebell work, med balls, tires, sledgehammers, and a mix of calisthenics
  • 100% strength workout (no boxing)
  • Skill level is tailored towards intermediate – advanced

 

Tuff Duff

Muay Thai / Kickboxing

This is for beginners (no experience required) who want to get in shape through kickboxing as well as learn the art of striking using Punching, Kicking, Kneeing and Elbows.

  • Ages 10 and up
  • Private instruction and more advanced training also available

Self Defense

This is for individuals and employers who want become more prepared in the face of “fight or flight” situations.

  • Taught by Kevin Sonnenberg, a weapon defense instructor with 35+ years of Martial Arts and Self-Defense training
  • All his programs target the key elements of Self Protection, Awareness, and Response enabling you to build confidence and learn the self defense techniques that will help to keep you, your family, and your employees safer
  • 1-on-1 instruction or small group classes are available
